Serre Chevalier is opened everyday

Snow report (provisional): 80cm (31.50″) at 1350m (4429 ft) – 120cm (47″) at 2100m (6890 ft) – 180cm (71″) at 2800m (9187 ft)

Ski area opening

Due to heavy snowfalls  and strong wind announced, the opening of upper part of the skiarea will be severely disrupted throughout the weekend.

The free skibus service every 20 minutes allow skiers to reach the different starting points .

The ski area staff  works to offer you the best skiing conditions as soon as possible.
We recommend you extreme caution, backcountry skiing is strongly discouraged because of  a strong risk of avalanche.

Saturday, December 17: Winter conditions
Small flurries – Temperatures -2 to 5 dg -2/-4dg  in valleys. 0°c at 800 m and -10 deg isotherm around 2200 m. Wind blows at  80 km/h this morning on the summit then weakening to 40/60km/h this afternoon.

Sunday, December 18: Cold but sunny
The sun shines almost everywhere -  Some residual clouds. -10 °c around 2000 m. Northern wind which increases the coldness.

Monday, December 19: Cold, cloudy and some sun
After hard frost in the morning (-6 to -13 ° at the bottom of valleys), temperatures increase to -4 to 2 ° in the valleys.

Tuesday to Friday: Sunny and warmer
