The 3.6 Challenge is a Freestyle Contest organised and backed by the “Collectif Officiel du Snowpark Serre-Chevalier” that will take place on Saturday, March 10, 2018. It’s for “good” to “expert” level skiers and snowboarders who have mastered the basics of Freestyle. This is a style competition with the same trick for all participants: the 360 °.
The idea is the same whether you are a snowboarder or a skier: 4 runs per rider on a single module (it will be a big-air about 8m long) on which participants will perform 2 of 4 possible 360° variants (for example, for a snowboarder: 360 Front, 360 Back). Competitors will be judged solely on their style when performing the trick.
For practical and technical reasons, the number of participants is limited to 30 (ski and snowboard combined). You can sign up at the CoolZone in the Snowpark the day of the contest from 9.30am training runs will take place from 10.30am to 11am and the competition from 11am to 1pm.
2 ski judges and 2 snowboard judges will score each competitor according to recognised scoring standards.
There will be a free barbecue lunch for all participants at the CoolZone from 1pm.
There will be 2 overall rankings, once each competitor has done their 4 runs:
1 snowboard podium
1 ski podium
1 prize for the best try
1 prize for the best wipe out
There will be prizes from our sponsors for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places for both ski and snowboard contests.
As mentioned above, you can sign up on site from 9.30am until the 30 available bibs have been attributed.
Inscription is 10 € including the barbecue, 5 € for COS-PARK SERRE-CHEVALIER members.
Anyone can enter the contest, there is no need to have a club or race licence.
