If you love nature and tranquillity, snowshoeing is for you!

The use of snowshoes dates back to the dawn of time, when they were used as a means of transport. Recent decades have seen the revival of snowshoeing. The ancient accessory has given way to a modernized version. Now used for leisure activities, snowshoes open the doors to nature.

Let yourself be carried along by the rhythm of your steps, hear the snow crunch under your snowshoes and listen to the silence (yes, you can listen to silence; it's even an incredible sensory experience). Keep your eyes peeled for a whitetail, a chamois... or a chapel buried in the snow.

Choose the tone of your snowshoe outing

  • Contemplative, to observe and recharge your batteries
  • Sporty, to give it your all
  • Fun to share a good time with friends and family

A few recommendations

  • Snowshoe itineraries are marked but not necessarily groomed
  • Snowshoe trails are located in the heart of the ski area
  • Watch out for nearby skiers
  • On routes adjacent to ski slopes, keep to the edge of the slope, and before crossing a ski slope, make sure no skiers are coming from upstream
  • Before setting off, check that the weather conditions are favorable and observe the following safety instructions:
    - Stay on marked routes
    - Do not set off if there is a risk of heavy snowfall
    - If you're setting off alone, tell someone about the route you're taking and make sure your cell phone is charged
  • Choose a route suited to your level of ability
  • Routes are not closed in the evenings, but are used at the walker's own risk
  • Take into account the time needed to arrive on time for the last lift descent.

The environment

  • In winter, animals are in a state of survival. Any unnecessary expenditure of energy can be fatal. By staying on the marked itineraries, you can limit any nuisance.
  • Be "natural": take your garbage with you!
