During these 3 days, the city will be decked out in its finest finery.
Discover the medieval market, where you'll find stalls of merchants and craftsmen in Place Vauban.
Wander through the streets of the city decorated with flags and pennants, watch knights fight, and be surprised by beggars.
Visit medieval encampments, discover ancient trades, take part in medieval games and feast at the tavern.
It's all about getting back to the Middle Ages.
Shopkeepers and restaurateurs will be on hand to welcome you all day long.
A friendly and festive atmosphere guaranteed!

Programme:

- Saturday 28 June:
9:30 am: medieval music concert by the Entre Deux Airs troupe - Jardin Chanoine Motte
9:50 am: departure of the Runaïnes parade on stilts - Jardin Chanoine Motte
10 am: equestrian show, dressage on foot, dressage on horseback by the Kav'Alp association - Jardin Chanoine Motte
10:30 am: Inauguration of the 21st edition of the medieval festival, in the presence of the municipality of Briançon, the Serre-Chevalier Vallée Briançon tourist office, and the Cœur de Vauban association - Jardin Chanoine Motte
11h : small show by the Alba flag throwers in the Chanoine Motte garden, followed by a stroll through the Cité Vauban
11h: show Le tinel du Surgien by the Arthus Spectacle company - Place Général Blanchard
11h: chivalry initiation course for children by the Compagnie du Paladin - Place Général Blanchard
11h15 : start of the Runaïnes parade on stilts - Jardin Chanoine Motte
11.30am: jousting and acrobatics by Kav'Alp - Douves Porte de Pignerol
11.30am: festive storytelling by Maître Renard - Placette des Recollets, opposite the former Passage restaurant

14h30 : an initiation into chivalry for children by the Compagnie du Paladin - Place Général Blanchard
14h45: jousting and acrobatics by Kav'Alp - Douves Porte de Pignerol
15h: show by the flag throwers from Alba - Grande scène Porte d'Embrun

Practical tips : to get to the Cité Vauban, use the free car parks at the bottom of the town, in the Parc des Sports, near the Parc de la Schappe and opposite the media library, as the car parks in the Cité Vauban quickly become overcrowded. To get to the cité Vauban, you can walk if you wish, or take the bus network until 7pm, at the usual rates.
