Galerie de l'Alpe du jardin du Lautaret
This building enables the Joseph Fourier Alpine Station, a joint service unit of the CNRS and the University of Grenoble Alpes, to fully accomplish its missions of welcoming the public, training and research.
As part of its educational mission, the Alpe Gallery has a vast 130 m2 exhibition space. Exhibitions are regularly presented to visitors to the Garden.
With a capacity of 80 people, an 80 m2 room is equipped to host conferences, colloquia, board meetings or work meetings. It has two configurations (conference and working meeting). It is equipped with a video projector and soon with a sound system. It can be rented all year round to both public and private organisations according to the rates attached.
A research laboratory connected to a roof terrace
This 60 m2 research space, unique in the Alps at this altitude, allows the Alpine resort to host interdisciplinary projects that will help to better understand the response of mountain ecosystems and territories to global changes. It is connected to a 25 m2 roof terrace, equipped with a set of sensors whose data can thus be processed directly.
A sales point is dedicated to the Garden's publications (guide booklet, illustrated notebooks from Le Lautaret, botanical illustrations, posters, etc.) as well as to educational products (for young and old alike) focusing on ecology, gardening and botany.
