The highest point of the Vauban town, 1400 m above sea level at the level of the statue of La France, the former fortified castle of Briançon was the subject of numerous projects that led to its transformation into a real fort in the 19th century.
Enjoy an exceptional panoramic view of the Briançon valleys, the World Heritage forts and the town.
Bring walking shoes, water and warm clothing.
Meeting point: entrance to the Fort du Château, access via the covered walkway.
The guide reserves the right to cancel or interrupt any tour if necessary for the safety of visitors.

Access to the Château is via a 15-minute climb. Bring suitable footwear.
