đïž What to do in the off-season in Serre Chevalier & Briançon?
Between the end of the winter season and the start of summer, Serre Chevalier & Briançon experience a special period: the off-season.
The crowds thin out, the snow gradually melts on the peaks and the valley returns to its natural rhythm.
It's the ideal time to discover the destination in a different way - by strolling through the streets of Briançon, enjoying the Grands Bains at MonĂȘtier or preparing for the next season from quiet accommodation at the foot of the Ăcrins.
This page lists the shops, restaurants and activities open during theoff-season among the partners listed by the Serre Chevalier & Briançon Tourist Office.
The list is updated as information becomes available - please contact the establishments directly to confirm their opening times.
Opening information valid from April 20 to May 31, 2026
đœïž Gourmet breaks and places to socialize
The off-season is also an opportunity to enjoy the mountains in peace and quiet. Some restaurants, pubs and cafés remain open to welcome visiting gourmets or loyal regulars.
In a more relaxed atmosphere than in high season, it's the perfect time to treat yourself to a terrace lunch, a home-made pastry, or share an aperitif with friends.

đŽ Soft activities and the great outdoors
The snow is gradually disappearing, giving way to hiking trails, mountain bike routes and walks. In between seasons, you can take part in sports activities in the great outdoors, in a soothing, uncrowded setting.
Equipment is still available for hire, and a number of mountain professionals continue to accompany enthusiasts on their adventures.
đ„ Everyday shops and good local addresses
Bakeries, delicatessens, artisans and local producers: the shoulder season is the ideal time to take the time to shop differently. Chat with the cheesemonger, take home a warm blueberry tart, choose a souvenir made just a few kilometers away.
The region is alive and kicking, and its shopkeepers are there to prove it.
The Serre Chevalier & Briançon Tourist Office is your trusted point of contact between seasons. Our teams can advise you on open shops, trail conditions, and events for the period.
