Spring skiing in Serre Chevalier, the art of prolonging pleasure.

There's no question of putting away the spatulas until April 19, 2026! Serre Chevalier offers an exceptional end to the season, combining all the best features of the spring mountains.

On the program for these last few weeks of skiing: preserved snow cover on our north-facing slopes, omnipresent sunshine that sublimates every descent, days that stretch out to ski without counting the hours, a mild climate perfect for terrace breaks, lower prices and a packed calendar of events.

These last turns of winter promise unforgettable moments.
And we warn you: saying goodbye to your skis could be heartbreaking! 😊

Spring skiing is good for the snow!

Who says you can't ski until February? Certainly not us at Serre Chevalier! The ski area is open until April 19, 2026, for the simple reason that the snow cover is good even this late in the spring.

  • 80% of the ski area's runs are located above 2,000 m, at an altitude where the landscape is still white and the daisies are already carpeting the green lawns of the lower valleys.
  • Not only is the snow there, it's also pleasant, soft and velvety. The outstanding work of the grooming crews has contributed to this.
  • From the time the slopes close until the wee hours of the morning, they criss-cross the mountain at the controls of their machines to prepare you for top skiing conditions.

Spring skiing is good for the weather 😎

Over 80 years ago, exceptional sunshine and snow conditions convinced decision-makers to build a ski resort in the Guisane Valley (Serre Chevalier Valley).

These two natural factors have made the resort a resounding success, making it one of France's biggest ski areas. There's plenty of sunshine all winter long, so imagine April: sun cream is mandatory!

Add to that milder temperatures and longer days , and you've got the trifecta for a dream ski vacation. Terraces have never been so pleasant. You'll return home with a healthy glow that will make you the envy of your peers...

Spring skiing is a great way to witness nature's awakening

While the slopes and peaks are still immaculately white, spring is just around the corner. Nature makes no mistake: it's at this time of year that she wisely begins to awaken: first buds, first crocus...

Keep your eyes peeled, this annual renewal is a delight that has a beneficial effect on your body and your spirits. Just like nature, you too will feel revived as you continue to enjoy winter sports. If you're lucky, you may even spot the first marmots.

After months of hibernation, they're happy to be out in the fresh air, running, frolicking and playing. Watching them makes you feel like a child again, and that's so good.

In short, if you try spring skiing, you'll love it!
