Altitude Jazz Festival #19

19 editions already? A ripe old age for a festival that stands the test of time, nestling in its favourite valleys in the heart of winter.
Concerts will be offered to locals and visitors alike, in some twenty different venues, at all hours and for all budgets. A timeless interlude, a breath of fresh air and good humour, an event that everyone looks forward to.

Yes, we love old-fashioned jazz too, but we're also looking out for emerging new talent and the innovation offered by new generations of musicians who are as creative as ever, writing the music of their own time, which is also ours.

A must:
10 days of festival in the heart of winter. An associative festival designed for the inhabitants of the Briançonnais and visitors for a day or a week. A festival that creates a strong dynamic, with more than 4,800 spectators, forty or so local partners, a hundred or so volunteers and an entire region that looks forward to this timeless interlude.

The festival travels to around fifteen different venues around Briançon, Serre Chevalier and the surrounding area (La Clarée valley, l'Argentière La Bessée, Villar St Pancrace...). The music resonates in the existing large venues, but also in bars, on the downhill or cross-country ski runs, in the Vauban fortifications, in libraries...

This ten-day event is certainly intense for the public, volunteers, partners and artists, all enjoying together a regenerating musical frenzy and a bath of authentic conviviality that the Briançon area often knows how to produce.
