20h: to extend the reflection, the Eden cinema is offering a documentary - Le cinquième plan de la jetée (2025) by Dominique Cabrera.
Synopsis: The director's cousin, Jean-Henri, recognises himself in Chris Marker's La Jetée. He is standing with his back to his parents on the terrace at Orly in the fifth shot of the film. There's no doubt about it, he recognises his floppy ears. And if it's him, he's the hero of the film as a child... Dominique Cabrera is immediately drawn into this intimate and historical investigation: how likely was it that Marker and the Cabrera family would choose that same Sunday in 1962 to visit the Orly pier?
