The Briançonnais region has been the site of intense mining activity from at least the Middle Ages right up until very recently, shaping both the landscape and local culture. Having been studied for around thirty years, we aim to provide a concise overview of this history and suggest new avenues for research, opening the door to potential new discoveries!
