Festival Low-tech
What if the future could be built on simplicity, ingenuity and conviviality?
That's the spirit behind the Low-tech A(l)titude project, an initiative that will run for two years in the Greater Briançonnais area.
Its aim is to share, experiment with and promote low-tech know-how - techniques that are useful, accessible and sustainable - in order to strengthen the region's autonomy and resilience.
To kick off this dynamic, the Low-tech Festival will be held on 3, 4 and 5 October 2025: a festive, participatory event open to all.
Throughout the festival, residents, the curious, enthusiasts and professionals alike are invited to get together, learn, be inspired and connect:
Workshops and demonstrations, including a forum of players: eco-construction, bicycle repair, basketry, repair café, making an adobe oven...
Meetings and exchanges: conferences, round tables, a collective fresco, writing activities and imagining what a low-tech territory would be like, the Low-tech Lab's annual national seminar hosted in Briançon from 4 to 8 October
Friendly moments: film screenings, games, low-tech catering on site, low-tech guinguette on Saturday evening, foraging and processing of aromatic and medicinal plants (on Sunday, registration required).
The programme and venue will be announced in the coming days.
From Friday 3 to Sunday 5 October 2025.
Free to participate.
