Christie is a soul and jazz singer with a deep passion for music. Nourished by soul and funk since childhood, she has developed a warm, expressive voice. Today she performs with the group Kind of Jazz, offering lively, elegant music with a jazz flavour.
Yannick Chauvin began playing classical piano at the age of 7, before moving quickly into jazz and taking harmony and composition classes from the age of 13. After several years' training in various jazz schools, he took part in a number of projects before joining the CNRS big band in Marseille in 2016. In 2022, he formed the Kind of Jazz trio, for which he does most of the arrangements.
Matteo Sgarzi is an Italian jazz bassist/bassist, based in Marseille since 2013, renowned for his warmth and versatility. He brings a rich jazz colour both in intimate trios centred on the voice (Kind of Jazz) and in larger, more inventive ensembles (the Prezzaj quintet, or the recently formed ALE quartet, or the Italian quartet Slam!).
