The film tells the intimate and public story of a theatre show rehearsed in Champsaur and performed on tour in Mauritania.
The show was written over several years, as the filmmakers travelled around West Africa.

Synopsis in full: "Night and day - I could see straight away that you were with the elements," says a man walking through the space where we are rehearsing the show - a sandy square in a district of Nouakchott, between the school and the mosque. We can't see his face, hidden by the traditional haouli. He promises to come tomorrow for the performance. Tomorrow or another day... Tomorrow or another day, you'll find us in the towns and villages of Mauritania, where we're putting on a touring show: an open-air stage, daylight on our faces, the burning sun, waiting and then starting the show... Stopping, then starting again, and finding in the eyes of the audience, in the pleasure of performing, the questioning of the World, past and future.
