A space to cross

Piscina Mirabilis is a laboratory-performance imagined by the mk collective, guided by choreographer Michele Di Stefano (Silver Lion at the Venice Biennale) and Biagio Caravano (musician, dancer and performer). Already hosted at the TDB, mk is one of the most prominent dance companies on the Italian contemporary scene.

This new project is aimed at a wider community of dancers, actors, athletes and those curious about movement, with no requirement for professionalism. Here, the stage is no longer a reserved place: it becomes an everyday, unexpected space where anyone can freely explore their body and their thoughts in movement.

Piscina Mirabilis seeks to capture raw personal energies, a desire to express themselves physically without using fixed artistic forms. It's an open space-time where the intensity of gesture is carefully manipulated, in a gentle, conscious cohabitation with others. This project is an invitation to a collective, sensitive and unspectacular experience, with no objective of result, where we share a moment of pure presence, far from the usual framework of the stage.
