Le Poids de l'âme - tout est provisoire is a singular work born of the personal experience of Chiara Marchese, a fildefériste and visual artist. This hybrid show, at the crossroads of contemporary circus, the visual arts and puppetry, invites us to take an intimate, raw and gentle yet humorous look at the human being.

On stage, the supple thread adapts to enter into dialogue with a human-sized puppet made from thin strings: the daemon-puppet. These thousand strings are signs of our fragility, whether psychic, material, intimate or collective.

Chiara Marchese explores instability here. She plays with everyday objects (medicines, bills, etc.) to evoke our intimate struggles, our constant imbalances, our attempts to stand on our own two feet. As she lays herself bare, the show becomes a universal self-portrait, a mirror held up for everyone to recognise their own tremors. A sensory, visual and introspective experience, it is a gentle cry, a work that touches the heart with its sincerity and poetry
