Spectacle "Sortir par la porte"

A whirlwind of memories

With self-mockery and vibrant energy, Juan Ignacio Tula revisits a memory of his adolescence, marked by a long period of confinement when he lived in Buenos Aires. In Sortir par la porte (an attempt to escape), he transforms this experience into an autofiction in which past and present intermingle. Moving inside a Cyr wheel three metres in diameter, a constantly rotating stage device, he plunges into a whirlwind of memories. In this attempt to escape, he looks for the best way out, telling his story with intensity and sensitivity.

To create this new show, Juan Ignacio Tula worked with the author Hakim Bah, to transform his personal words into fiction; the video artists Claire Willemann and Yann Philippe, to share with you the sensations provoked by centrifugal force; and the dramaturge Mara Bijeljac, to create a dialogue between all the elements (image, text, apparatus, etc.).
