Spectacle Tendre Carcasse
A sensitive exploration of the body, the gaze and identity
Does our body play a part in the construction of our identity? How do the eyes of others impact on our own image? Based on these questions, Arthur Perole has gathered the testimonies of the four performers in Tendre Carcasse. On the borderline between autobiography and fiction, they share their memories of puberty, their complexes, their desire to please and the pressures they endure.
On stage, their voices and bodies mingle in a chorus of solidarity. On one side, their voices converse and address you. On the other, their bodies translate these words, extend them and then break free in a joyous, exhilarated trance. Little by little, the music overtakes the words. Tendre Carcasse then becomes a party where we shed our burdens to better accept ourselves and our differences. A gentler view of our own bodies and the portrait of a benevolent youth take shape. Here, love is a natural and collective commitment
