Journées européennes du patrimoine - Briançon dans la Seconde Guerre Mondiale
Come and retrace the steps of Aspirant Jan, the hero of the liberation of Briançon, from the Porte d'Embrun to the top of the château fort where the German soldiers were entrenched on 6 September 1944. The tour will also cover the fighting in June 1940 and the occupation and liberation of Briançon.

Please allow plenty of time for travel and parking if the tour is to start on time.
The guide reserves the right to cancel or interrupt any tour if necessary for the safety of visitors.
A minimum of 2 people per tour.
The fort has no water or public toilets. Please bring suitable mountain clothing and footwear.
Saturday 20 September 2025 Departure times between 10.30 am and 12.30 pm and between 10 am and 12 pm.
Sunday 21 September 2025 between 3 pm and 5 pm.
