To make sure you have the perfect day off the marked runs:
- Find out about the conditions (see "Advice" below).
- Ask yourself the right questions about your avalanche beacon:
- Is my avalanche transceiver activated?
- Did I remember to turn it on? Is it working properly?

DVA Park
Experience the thrill of controlled freeride using DVA (Détecteurs de Victimes en Avalanches) beacons!
Discover a fun and educational activity that will appeal to all snow sports fans, especially freeride skiers and off-piste enthusiasts.
This area, located on the Monêtier site near the finish of the Bachas chairlift, is freely accessible, and lets you learn how to use the DVA beacons provided for trials and simulations.
Get in touch with the ski area's first-aid instructors*, who will give you the keys to adopting the right reflexes in the event of an avalanche, because at Serre Chevalier Vallée, your safety is our priority!

Before setting off off-piste, ask the ski patrollers about the weather conditions, the snow report and the avalanche risk level. Don't forget your shovel and probe.

Rodolphe and Yoann, Pisteurs-Secouristes and Maîtres-Chiens d'avalanche from Serre Chevalier, are offering dog search demonstrations in the ski area during the winter vacations, at the top of the Bachas chairlift on the Monêtier site :
