Descriptif détaillé

Bilingual storytelling: spoken French and sign language presented by the Compagnie Conte.
A fascinating interweaving of voices, signs and mime.

This is how Anne Lopez and Sophie Mazin tell stories, combining their two languages, their two bodies and the clothes they take turns to wear.
A partnership that sparks humour, emotion and poetry.
Highly personal versions of Russian and European tales, brought to life by strange dolls that take us by the arm and give life more meaning.

The power of the marvellous and the humour of the mischievous, embodied by the character of the doll, is the link between the various traditional tales. The two languages, spoken French and sign language, are multiple expressions of the same speech, neither being subservient to the other. The tales bounce from one to the other and are addressed with equal vivacity to the deaf and the hearing.

By and starring: Anne Lopez, hearing / Sophie Mazin, deaf
Costumes and set design: Nathalie Guichon
