That's the question on Marjorie's mind. With her husband, Fred, and their three children, Camille aged 16, Lilo aged 11 and Mia aged 4 1/2, they will be spending their first summer vacations in the mountains.
They have chosen Serre Chevalier Vallée Briançon.
Although she's excited about the prospect of a holiday in the fresh mountain air, far from the sweltering heat, she's not sure what to expect and hopes that the vacation will be a success for everyone in the family.
Marjorie can rest assured that her summer vacations in 2024 are going to be exceptional!
And that's for the simple reason that Serre Chevalier Vallée Briançon is the ideal place to create unforgettable family memories.

Activities to enjoy together
Marjorie and Fred's family will be spoilt for choice when it comes to spending quality time together.
Picnic in a majestic setting
The mountains, they dig deep! What could be more magical than sharing a picnic together in a picture-postcard setting? What's more, the picnic can be transformed into a tasty culinary experience thanks to the picnic areas. Some are even equipped with planchas. Lunchtime in the heart of the mountains becomes a special moment, and the kids love it!
Family hiking
The Serre Chevalier valley is packed with trails to suit all levels, including the little legs of Mia, who is 4 1/2 years old (don't forget the 1/2, or Mia will get angry). Some are even specially designed for families, like the Lutins trail. Hiking is the perfect way to enjoy the benefits of the mountains while sharing a great moment.
Cycling is so much fun
The mountains are an ideal playground for cycling, especially mountain biking.
The green-marked trails are accessible to all, making them ideal for families. And older teenagers and adults can tackle more challenging routes.
There's something for every taste and level.

Swimming, a key summer activity
There's no shortage of opportunities for swimming at Serre Chevalier Vallée Briançon: organic baths, swimming pools and the thermoludic center are ready to welcome Marjorie and her tribe for a moment of relaxation and coolness (except in the sauna!).
Organic baths / Swimming pools / Thermo-ludic center
Leisure park: adventure for all
Accrobranche, supervised tree climbing, Grimp'in Forest... Fly from tree to tree and take up some great family challenges. Camille, Lilo and Mia are sure to come back for more!
The via ferrata to become one with the rock
Marjorie and Fred are keen to try their hand at via ferrata, and would like to do it as a family. They are well aware that this activity requires the services of a professional, as it can be potentially dangerous without the necessary supervision. There are a number of options for taking care of children and combining via ferrata with an introduction to climbing.
For younger children only
Camp des Marmottes for little ones
This is the undisputed children's paradise that will enchant Lilo and Mia, without leaving the other three members of the clan indifferent. Wooden games, a zip line, a tree house... all summer long. Why Camp des Marmottes? Because from here, you can admire these pretty little animals frolicking in the Alpine meadows.
European Adventure School for 3-18 year-olds
Too bad Marjorie and Fred are too old, but welcome Camille, Lilo and Mia! They're in for some incredible experiences: outdoor activities, werewolf games, bivouacs... The choice is vast and the program mouth-watering.
White-water courses for kids and teens
It's as if the region's rivers were designed with whitewater sports in mind. To enable everyone, including the very young, to discover these thrilling activities, we've developed a range of courses for children and teenagers. Marjorie and Fred can rest assured that they, too, will have the right to enjoy whitewater sports!

For the little ones, already a bit big (!),
and the big ones
The giant Tyrolean traverse to take you to new heights
Accessible to adults and minors weighing over 25 kg accompanied by an adult, the zip line invites you to take a fabulous trip through the air, while admiring the surrounding scenery. Seen from above, in the heart of celestial immensity, the hustle and bustle of the valley seems tiny and unreal.
Mountain karts and scooters
Lilo and Mia may be disappointed not to be able to try out these little machines, but it's to guarantee their safety that a minimum age (14) and height (1 m 40) are required. On the other hand, the other three members of the family - Marjorie, Camille and Fred - will be able to discover the exhilarating thrills of mountain karting and downhill scootering at the Serre Chevalier ski resort.
Paragliding for a moment of pure magic
Normally reserved for adults, paragliding is now open to children, thanks to passionate instructors who know how to introduce them to the activity in complete safety. The whole family (minimum age 6, to be checked with the school) can enjoy the thrills and spills of paragliding. Who hasn't dreamt of flying?
